If someone at work had made false accusation against you, do you resolve it through HR?

Yes, you would normally go the HR department to resolve such disputes...If someone at work had made false accusation against you, do you resolve it through HR?
You will have to go through the grievance procedure. You first have to raise your concerns in writing with your line manager. If the grievance involves them then you go to their manager. A key piece to remember is that when you have the meeting to discuss the issues you can have a companion with you (but they cannot say anything on your behalf, just be present). Below will give you all the advice and procedures you are required to follow. Just follow what they advise and you will get the matter resolved, as it is your employers responsibility to do so once you raise the grievance (do not sign off anything until you are 100% satisfied with your employers solution to the grievance).

Yes, because they have to listen to both sides of the story. And be objective, if you are having problems, write everything down that's said, and your responses, it helps when explaining to the person/s in HR
I would certainly approach the matter with your HR dept if you have one if not senior management. They will know how to handle it from there. good luck
