Should Obama take Iran's advice: Not to repeat false accusations leveled against the Islamic Republic?

TEHRAN (Reuters) 鈥?Iran called on U.S. President-elect Barack Obama on Monday not to repeat what it said were false accusations leveled against the Islamic Republic by the outgoing administration in Washington. (The Bush and Cheney administration really)

The United States accuses Iran of seeking to develop nuclear weapons and President George W. Bush has spearheaded a drive to isolate Tehran internationally. Tehran denies the charge.

Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman also suggested Tehran would respond in an ';appropriate and timely'; way to any change in U.S. behavior toward the country, which is embroiled in a row with the West over its disputed nuclear plans.Should Obama take Iran's advice: Not to repeat false accusations leveled against the Islamic Republic?
not a good ideaShould Obama take Iran's advice: Not to repeat false accusations leveled against the Islamic Republic?
Although a president should always listen to what another country says, he is in no way bound to obey it. I have a hard time knowing for sure if Iran is actually pursuing nuclear weapons, although it seems likely. Because of the lies perpetrated on us about Hussein's WMD, it's difficult to know what is what. There's also no way to know if the rest of the Western world actually has evidence of nuclear weapons or is relying on what we say. For the Foreign Minister to imply that we care what kind of response we get from Tehran is idiotic. If we have the evidence, we will know what we know, and what Ahmadinutjob says will make no difference. Obama will probably talk with Iran at some level, but he will make his own decisions according to the evidence.
The one thing I have noticed about Obama so far is that he is in it for what he perceives is best for the country, and as such the world as a whole. The mullahs in Iran are in it for one thing and one thing only to be a religious fanatical country built and ruled on one principle to rid the world of the infidel and promote the greatness of Mohamed. They want to destroy Israel and the United States and will stop at nothing including building nuclear bombs if allowed to further that aim. Their leadership not the Iranian people are dogs and liars.
Any President should be cautious of false accusations of such a serious nature. It has been known for Bush to make things up that work to his benefit. Therefore, Obama should be cautious to instantly charge that Iran is seeking to develop nuclear weapons. He should not just take anyone's word on it, Iran or Bush! The matter needs thorough examination, something which Obama is more than capable of doing.
I think Obama should take advice from more credible advisers.

And Obama won't change the US policy toward Iran's pursuit of nuclear weapons. He may take a different approach, but the policy will be the same.
Iran is, in short, one of the most destabilizing influences in the middle east today. They actively train and arm Shia militant/terrorist/insurgent groups in order to fight proxy wars against western or western supported powers. They use Quds Force and other intelligence agencies to actively influence ongoing conflicts across the middle east, and are one of the largest refuges for militants post-attack. They continue these operations long after it has become clear the party they are supporting can no longer have a viable chance of winning, merely to cause damage that is neglibible strategically, but may kill a few more of their religously dictated enemies...

So, all things given, I don't think those enemies (I.e. Us) should take much of what they say at face value.
Bush handled Iran about as sadly and incompetantly as it could have been handled. That does not change the fact that Iran is run by a bunch of relegious fanatics bent on Isreals and the US's destruction. There may be a day when we negotiate and sign agreements with them when it serves our purpose, but believe me we, will not trust them, and as for taking advice from them, well that is just nutty!
Umm, NO??? Exactly why would allowing Iran, or ANY country to dictate our policies be a good idea?

It is a terrible precedent to set, albeit one that is exactly part of the obama Mission...

To listen to Iran on this, well, it would be akin to allowing our Country to be intimidated... I guess the left would find nothing wrong with that.
I don't think any country has the right to accuse another country of any wrong doing. I don't like Bush much and who knows if he's trying to brainwash everyone into thinking it's Iran's fault?? I think it would be better for the world as a whole if Obama believes Iran for once in an attempt to try and stop the war. That's my opinion. =P
As if the Iranian government would say otherwise? Their President is a nutcase liar with blatant outspoken hatred for the west. And any threats they make only worsen my opinion of them. Obama should proceed with caution and put the callers in their place. They have no authority to reprimand him or make demands.
He's not going to take their advice as if they were just telling him what to do, but he will be open to listen to both sides and see were peace and deals can enter. He have a direct chance that no other ever had before to bridge the difference between these country's, they love his charisma and elegyct to others. He will do good , and I pray he suceed which he will because he was born to lead.
Iran is well known for their disinformation. I'd also remind you that this is the same country that took Americans hostage during the Carter administration. How anyone can believe ANYTHING they say is well beyond me. I guess Liberals will believe anything that denigrates the United States.
no. Pres-elect Obama needs to take care of us first and worry about what the rest of the world thinks later. I'm not saying we should go around carrying a big stick and making everyone into our enemy, but those who threaten us should not feel like we're gonna roll over and do what they want now that we have a new regime in place. Iran and North Korea are playing the good guy card all of a sudden, but i think they misunderstand that we are the same people they hated months ago. They haven't changed thier course of action, and we shouldn't condone their policies all of a sudden,
How?

Look in the real world.

Decode this lyrics '; TV make the super star';

No one mess them up.

With ghostly stories being thrown back at themselves.

In nailing themselves to the cross with self lack of knowledge and total loss of IQ in time.

What do you think?
We are in a very delicated moment in the world. Wars and bankruptcy. Nature break-down... many bad things still are going to happen.

How more words for or agaisnt, how dificult things are going to be.

Why dont US takes care of your own country to improve a better life to american people, forgetting some questions?

Sometimes, a kind of posture will appear like to be losing, but you will be winning... the silence is the eloquence of the knowledge.
Oh I get it - Obama's middle name is ';Hussein'; so that means he has to do everything Tehran says (lol!)

But Iran has been playing this good cop/bad cop game with us for decades, just like North Korea.

They are opportunists and will pursue whatever tactic they think may get them somewhere.
What is a country sitting on all that oil need Nuclear power for? A Bomb.. hmmm

Bush should give the order the day before Obama is inaugurated and strike Iran. I am sure this socialist will have to turn to a Moderate Ricky Tick.
Oh, so you do buy everything the media feeds you. I kinda thought so. Do yourself a favor and use the God given brain you received and learn to think for yourself.
i didnt even read the question

i would just like to say that Obama should not become president!

i hate everything he stands for

and i love guns, just for the record
Obama will probably send all the world leaders flowers and ask them for hugs. But what he OUGHT to do is stand up to them because their president is a nutjob who wants to nuke Israel.
Yeah...and Iran doesn't sponsor terrorism or fight US soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan either....seriously, who is going to believe them. The same Pakistani scientists that built Pakistan's and North Korea's nuclear arms programs are helping Iran.
We should destroy that country entirely if they even make one more threat against anybody. They are religious fanatics that should not be tolerated.
When has the regime in Teheran ever told the truth? Taking advice on foreign policy from Iran is akin to taking relationship advice from Charles Manson.
Iran does not want Obama ';repeat [true] accusations leveled against the Islamic Republic';.
To a slight degree, the accusations are true. But sensible negotiation might obviate the danger. Iran has said that Israel must be destroyed.
I'm sure Baracky will heed Iran's advice since he wants to naiively sit down and drink tea with Mahmoud. Baracky is about to be played like a cheap fiddle.
unless obama can bring evidence that they are infact on track to building a nuclear weapon,he shouldnt we are tired of the wmd routine, saddam was one too many
To call those ';accusations'; ';false'; is ridiculous.
They like to bluff. Bush always played right into their hands. Nothing would upset them more than having a US President they can't jerk around.
Right-wing answer = death!! death to all the anti-American infidels!! KILL!! kill and eat their children! droooool

sensible answer = the hard line rhetoric won't last long, and the sooner we get Generation IV nuclear reactor technology perfected and built, to produce hydrogen fuel, the sooner we can ignore their silly little temper tantrums they throw to drive up government revenue from nationalized oil industries. Shortly thereafter all the hard line ultra-conservative governments of theocratic countries will collapse, as long as we don't allow the right to turn the USA into one.

and no, the imaginary Fairness Doctrine isn't forcing me to present both sides of the issue.
I didn't want to answer the question, since I find political debates leads to confrontations and I hate that, I just had to say I love your name!!!! My brother was one of those guys for Halloween. Just had to stop by and say that : P, enjoy the debate :)
