Does anyone know someone personally who was involved in a false rape accusation?

If so, what happened?Does anyone know someone personally who was involved in a false rape accusation?
Yes, a close friend.

Two years ago, he slept with his girl he really liked. He didn't know she had a boyfriend, but found out a week after sleeping with her that she did. He left her alone, and didn't say anything to her boyfriend. Neither did she.

A good few weeks ago (couple of months+ perhaps), her boyfriend found out from someone else that my friend DID tell. This person assumed the girl and the guy had broken up, since he hadnt seen him for a long time.

The guy was so angry at his girlfriend for lying to him for so long, and broke up with her because of it. He trusted her all this time.

She was upset, and to get him back in the relationship, she said my friend had raped her - and thats why she didnt say anything.

Her brothers went to the police, reported it, and then the girl told the police it was true. She said he raped her. She told the police this so her 'ex boyfriend' wouldnt find out she lied to him again, about something so serious.

In the end, one of HER friends persuaded her to come clean. She did, after a (rare) moment of self responsibility.

The damage was done, though. My friend lost so many of his friends, his good reputation, was made to feel like crap for ages and of course the fear of jail. Whats more.. this girl did NOT get charged for wasiting police time. Thats what I can't understand. She was just allowed to do this, it seems.Does anyone know someone personally who was involved in a false rape accusation?
Yes. A friend of a friend.

This guy's girlfriend accused him of raping her to seek revenge on him for ignoring her and breaking up with her.

Everyone knows it is false, even the police doubt it. The last time I heard about this case, the police were going to give the girl a lie detector test. I assume she will recant her accusation when that times comes around, just as the ';victims'; did in Dr. Eugene J. Kanin's study.

EDIT @ Danielle. People probably think she was forced into saying that he didn't rape her after she reported it to the police. They probably believe she is a victim that has PTSD, and didn't want to be raped twice in the court room when she had to face the man she accused.

Feminism seems to sway the public to believe rape false allegations are actually true because of the victim's psychology due to trauma. Moreover, they give credibility to alleged rapes that occurred years past.

The fresh complaint rule would prevent the latter, and good unbiased police investigations will prevent the former. However, the public's opinion is something that can not be mended if it is led to believe that women are victims and never lie about being raped. The scary thing is that the public are the judges, police officers, and investigators that investigate, arrest, and sentence men accused of rape.
When I was going through college I became friends with a guy in many of my classes. His best friend was falsely accused of rape by a girl and he went through h*ll. My college friend would periodically update me when his friend was going to court.

That's the closest experience.

Now my brother dated a girl on and off and she got pregnant at a time they were not together. Both knew it wasn't his baby. She went down to the state and claimed my brother as the father. Thank god for blood tests. It was proved he wasn't the babydaddy.

There is no punishment for women who make false claims, even if your proven innocent, which is probably pretty hard to do and costly, the damage to you personally is huge.
I know of a guy who was on a stag party (he was the one getting married) and he and his best man had sex with a girl behind the restaurant they were in. She told the police she was raped a few days after it happened but later dropped the charge, I was told she was drunk and just embarrassed at what had happened. The guys g/f still married him the next week which is f*cked up too.

*But then again I suppose she could have been raped, I dunno sorry.
Myself and my friends don't associate with feminists , so no , this hasn't happened to anyone close to me.
